Physical Therapy

Our Physical Therapists want all of our patients to be able to regain function, reduce pain, and build confidence in their abilities to move through their daily lives.

Helping patients reclaim mobility and function by providing in-depth evaluations and developing treatment plans is the main responsibility of our Physical Therapists.

PTWorks Therapists specialize in Hawaiʻi’s geriatric population. They routinely work with physicians, other health care professionals, and individual caregivers to help patients build strength, prevent future injuries, and maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Here are some key issues that our Physical Therapists address:

Minimizing pain and decreased range of motion due to osteoarthritis or injury
Managing back and cervical pain through postural education, flexibility and strength programs
Facilitating recovery of functional mobility after hospitalization
Preventing falls through balance and strength training
Assessing gait and evaluating mobility aides such as canes, walkers and crutches
Performing home safety evaluations
Educating and training of families, caregivers, and facilities
Helping with pain reduction through modalities such as hot and cold therapy, ultrasound and electrical stimulation such as TENs

Our licensed Physical Therapists hold Master’s Degrees or Doctorates in Physical Therapy from accredited Physical Therapy programs and other required credentials (state licensure and certifications).
